Cadmora Terms and Conditions of Use
These Terms govern your access to and use of Cadmora, including language roleplays, flashcards, library exercises, progress features, internal coins, and Pro subscriptions.
1. Scope and acceptance
By accessing or using Cadmora, you agree to these Terms and Conditions, the Privacy Policy, and any additional rules shown inside the app.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use Cadmora.
Cadmora is a language learning application that combines AI-assisted speaking practice, smart flashcards, interactive reading, learning analytics, rewards, and optional Pro subscriptions.
2. User eligibility
Cadmora is intended for users aged 13 and over. Children under 13 may not create an account or use the service.
Users aged 13 to 17 may use Cadmora only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
Accounts are personal and non-transferable. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information connected to your account and for any activity that occurs through it.
3. Description of the service
Cadmora provides language learning tools, including AI roleplay lessons, lesson feedback, saved conversations, personalized lessons, flashcards, spaced repetition practice, interactive reading materials, library exercises, progress analytics, XP, and internal coins.
AI-generated conversations, feedback, corrections, examples, flashcards, explanations, and exercise evaluations are provided for educational assistance. They may contain mistakes, omissions, or unnatural phrasing.
Cadmora does not guarantee that using the app will result in passing a language exam, obtaining a certification, reaching a specific CEFR level, or achieving any particular professional or academic outcome.
4. AI features and user responsibility
Cadmora uses third-party AI providers to generate conversations, feedback, explanations, lesson content, and writing evaluations.
You are responsible for reviewing the output before relying on it. Cadmora does not provide legal, medical, financial, psychological, immigration, or other professional advice.
You must not use Cadmora to generate or distribute unlawful, abusive, harmful, discriminatory, deceptive, or infringing content.
5. Voice, microphone, and live roleplay
Some lessons require microphone access to provide live voice practice. You may need to grant microphone permission on your browser or device.
Voice input may be processed to transcribe your speech, generate a live AI response, produce lesson feedback, and maintain a transcript where applicable.
You must not record, upload, or transmit content that violates the rights of others or applicable law.
6. Account, authentication, and security
Cadmora may allow sign-in through third-party identity providers such as Google or Apple. The availability of each sign-in option may depend on platform, device, and release stage.
You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for notifying us if you suspect unauthorized access.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that are used fraudulently, abusively, unlawfully, or in a way that harms Cadmora, other users, or third-party services.
7. User content and storage
You may create, import, save, or generate content in Cadmora, including flashcards, answers, written responses, lesson prompts, custom lesson scenarios, transcripts, and saved conversations.
You retain any rights you have in your own content. You grant Cadmora a limited license to host, process, store, display, analyze, and transmit that content as needed to provide, maintain, protect, and improve the service.
Cadmora does not guarantee indefinite storage. Content may be deleted as part of account deletion, maintenance, abuse prevention, operational limits, or product changes.
8. Internal coins, XP, and rewards
Cadmora may provide internal rewards such as XP and coins for eligible learning activity.
Coins are internal app credits used only inside Cadmora, for example to unlock eligible content where available. They have no cash value, are not legal tender, are not transferable, and cannot be sold, exchanged, or redeemed for money.
Cadmora may adjust rewards, unlock costs, earning rules, availability, and eligibility conditions to balance the product, prevent abuse, or reflect changes in the service.
9. Pro subscriptions
Cadmora may offer a paid Pro plan through monthly and yearly auto-renewable subscriptions. Both subscription options provide access to the same Pro tier unless stated otherwise in the app or store listing.
Pro may include higher usage limits, access to paid features, personalized lessons, premium content, and other benefits described in the app.
Subscription prices, billing period, trial availability, renewal date, taxes, and store-specific conditions are displayed before purchase by the relevant app store or payment platform.
On iOS, purchases are charged to your Apple ID and renew automatically unless canceled according to Apple’s rules. You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple ID subscription settings.
A Restore Purchases option may be provided where required or useful, especially on platforms that use in-app purchases.
10. Refunds and cancellation
Cancellation stops future renewal but does not automatically refund the current billing period.
Refund requests for purchases made through Apple must be handled through Apple’s refund process. Refund requests for purchases made through other platforms are subject to the rules of the relevant platform or payment provider.
Cadmora may not be able to issue refunds directly for transactions processed by third-party app stores.
11. License and intellectual property
Cadmora, including its source code, design, interface, branding, lesson system, content structure, databases, workflows, and software logic, is owned by Cadmus Haspert Piaggio or its relevant licensors.
You receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Cadmora for personal language learning purposes in accordance with these Terms.
You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, distribute, resell, sublicense, rent, scrape, or commercially exploit Cadmora or its content without prior written authorization.
12. Acceptable use
You agree to use Cadmora lawfully, ethically, and in accordance with these Terms.
You must not interfere with the service, bypass usage limits, abuse free or paid features, overload the system, attempt unauthorized access, extract data at scale, or use Cadmora to infringe the rights of others.
Violation of these rules may result in suspension, restriction, or termination of your account.
13. Privacy
The processing of personal data is described in the Cadmora Privacy Policy.
By using Cadmora, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy.
14. Availability and changes
Cadmora is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or permanent access to every feature or item of content.
We may modify, suspend, remove, limit, replace, or discontinue features, plans, rewards, content, or integrations where reasonably necessary for technical, legal, operational, security, or business reasons.
15. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Cadmora is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, loss of business opportunity, or learning outcomes not achieved.
Where liability cannot be excluded, Cadmora’s total liability will be limited to the amount you paid for Cadmora during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.
16. Apple-specific terms
When Cadmora is downloaded from the Apple App Store, these Terms supplement Apple’s applicable terms, including the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and the Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
Apple is not responsible for providing maintenance or support for Cadmora. Support is provided by Cadmora through the support contact listed in the app.
In the event of a conflict between these Terms and mandatory Apple terms applicable to your use of the app on Apple devices, the mandatory Apple terms will prevail only to the extent of that conflict.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app, by email, or by another reasonable method.
Continued use of Cadmora after the updated Terms become effective means that you accept the updated Terms.
18. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Argentine Republic, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights that may apply in your country of residence.
Where legally permitted, disputes will be submitted to the competent ordinary courts of the City of Córdoba, Argentina.
